Business Divorce

I retained David Paris to represent me in a Business Divorce. As a minority partner I had limited rights and little leverage with the controlling partner. The buyout negotiations quickly went sour and I was forced to litigate to compel settlement. Shortly thereafter, the controlling partner counte...r sued, alleging professional malpractice (I hold a professional license). With the possibility of losing my livelihood, the matter quickly became serious and complicated. Throughout the protracted litigation which lasted almost three years, David remained on top of the matter. He was always prepared regardless of whether it was for an argument before the judge, a deposition, or discussions with the opposing attorney. My lawsuit involved numerous complex allegations of business, tax and financial improprieties. David was able to grasp each issue and make the appropriate argument. I personally attended every hearing before the judge and not once was David unprepared. He was polite to the opposition, yet tenacious in his approach. He was always able to make our point. In the end, thru mediation, David negotiated the settlement I deserved. He, his staff, and his firm genuinely cared about the outcome and worked very, very hard to ensure success. I have recommended, (and will continue to recommend) David and his firm.
