In August of 2019 I got pulled over for Speeding by the NJ State Police in Irvington NJ coming home from a concert where I had been drinking. The police office administered a field sobriety test and I failed miserably as a matter of fact after I stumbled badly while trying to put one foot in fr...ont of the other with my eyes closed. I was clearly busted. The state trooper arrested me on the spot and impounded my vehicle and took me to the Precinct in Sommerset NJ (About 30) mins away and threw the book at me, wrote me 5 tickets: Driving under the influence, Careless Driving, Speeding at 90MPH, Unsafe Lane Change, Wreckless Driving. While incarcerated I blew into a breathalyzer machine and reported a score of 0.19 (more than double the legal limit). My wife was at work (She works overnight) and so my son a college student, came to pick me up around 3am. I've never been more embarrassed in my life, here I am giving my college aged son speeches about drinking and driving and I was as guilty as it gets. The charges I was facing were serious. Loss of my License for 3 months and about $20k in costs over 3 years from increase in insurance, surcharges and state penalties etc. I hired Randy who came on a recommendation from a friend who lives in Newark hear his offices. Boy was I happy. Randy and his paralegal Carla handled my case like super heroes. Randy knew the Lead prosecutor in Irvington NJ and told me exactly how my case was going to go. He has handled hundreds of these cases before. The key to getting the case dismissed was to work the system and the prosecutor who he had a good relationship with. Honestly, I think that at one point, the prosecutor was not even contacting the Trooper to send in the discovery information or it got lost somehow. After a couple of time where Trooper did not come or discovery info was MIA and a couple of postponements, I had to go to court about 5 times over the course of 3 months, but the strategy worked and the case was eventually thrown out with all charges dismissed. I got off with out paying any fines, penalties or charges and the cost to me was $2500 total in legal fees. A flat rate that Randy Lewis allowed me to pay in a few installments. All through the process Carla the paralegal kept in touch and told me what to expect etc. Randy was readily available on the phone for questions etc and always returned my calls promptly. So all in all it was a perfect outcome and a perfectly handled case. . I am forever grateful to Randy and Carla for making this nightmare go away. You can hire Randy without fear. Mr. Lewis is an excellent lawyer who knows the system well. He negotiated with the town's attorney to get many of the charged related to a traffic accident reduced. I would recommend using his services after any type of accident. I found him through the yellow pages and he was very professional expla...ining everything. I did not have to do anything except show up in municipal court. His rates are somewhat high but well worth it given his abilities. So again, strongly recommend using his services especially for traffic violations and accidents..
