Joseph Simantov

I am the founding principal of Simantov Law Firm, P.C., and have been practicing law for more than 22 years. Over the course of my career, I have represented nearly 10,000 clients in a broad range of legal matters.

A substantial part of my practice has focused on personal injury litigation. I have extensive experience handling cases from their earliest stages through investigation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial. My personal injury experience includes automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; construction accidents; premises liability matters; slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall cases; dog bites; pedestrian accidents; wrongful death claims; and cases involving serious and catastrophic injuries.

For more than two decades, I have handled heavily litigated matters and guided cases through every stage of the litigation process. I understand both the practical and strategic demands of litigation and take an active role in developing each case, communicating with my clients, dealing with insurance carriers and opposing counsel, negotiating settlements, and preparing matters for trial when necessary.

My legal experience extends beyond personal injury. Over the years, I have also handled workers’ compensation matters, mediation and arbitration, family and divorce law, elder law, real estate matters including residential and commercial closings and landlord-tenant disputes, immigration law, and bankruptcy matters.

I began my legal career as an associate with a law firm before establishing my own practice. In addition to practicing law, I have written extensively on practical legal issues for a nationally circulated publication and have instructed both attorneys and members of the public on legal topics.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College and earned my Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. During law school, I completed a judicial internship with the Honorable David Schmidt of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

I am actively admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
