Tejal Forrar

Tejal Forrar practices in the areas of insurance defense and coverage, no-fault arbitration and litigation, and personal injury protection (PIP) litigation. She has considerable experience successfully defending multiple cases through jury verdict in various counties of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the firm, Tejal was the lead attorney of the no-fault department of Viscomi & Lyons for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. In this position she participated in many aspects of insurance defense litigation including automobile liability defense, uninsured and underinsured coverage and no-fault arbitration and litigation.

She was admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey in 2001, and joined Liberty Mutual in 2002. Tejal received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University with a minor in French and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. While at New York Law School, Ms. Forrar successfully completed the arbitration and mediation clinic.

Tejal completed a one year clerkship for the Honorable Alan A. Rockoff, JSC (ret) in the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division in Middlesex County in the civil division. She gained a considerable amount of experience and familiarity with the judiciary and with the rules of court during that year which she continues to bring to her practice. During law school, Tejal clerked with a private insurance defense litigation law firm in Florham Park, New Jersey where she assisted the attorneys in various areas of insurance defense law including automobile liability, professional liability and products liability.

Tejal successfully completed her pupilage with the Halpern/Furman American Inns of Court in 2004, and continues to participate with the Inn as a barrister, as a guiding hand for newly admitted attorneys who are beginning their trial careers.

Tejal was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve on the District VIII Ethics Committee on September 1, 2016.
