Mitchell L Pascual

Mitchell L. Pascual has extensive experience in complex commercial, environmental and construction litigation and throughout his nearly 20 years of practice; he has represented a broad range of private and public clients including financial institutions, insurance companies, real estate development corporations, municipal and state entities.

Mitchell is former acting Chief Counsel to the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, one of the largest sewerage treatment facilities in the world.  For the last decade, he has successfully represented Passaic Valley in defense of large-scale complex claims, including construction, environmental, and sewerage treatment issues.  Mitchell continues to represent Passaic Valley  and is lead counsel for Passaic Valley in a mass party environmental litigation involving the clean up of the Passaic River.  In addition to handling the Passaic River matter, Mitchell represents one of the Country’s largest commercial cleaning services company, Ultimate Services Group, Inc., which provides janitorial services to major department stores and malls throughout the country.

Mitchell has successfully handled numerous complex matters to conclusion. These matters have resulted in excellent trial outcomes and settlement results.  Most recently, he and his trial team successfully represented one of New Jersey’s largest colleges in connection with defending against an employment discrimination claim.  After a trial, which continued for nearly eight consecutive weeks, a verdict in favor of the college was returned.  Likewise, Mitchell successfully handled two complex construction litigations on behalf of one of the country’s largest sewerage authorities.  These cases resulted in successful settlements, by which the clients were made better than whole.

In the Southern District of New York, Mitchell is presently defending large commercial property owners against mass tort claims made in connection with the World Trade Center disaster.  This complex matter involves over 5,000 plaintiffs and several hundred defendants.  Meanwhile, in the Superior Court of New Jersey, he continues to represent and serve as lead counsel to a Canadian railway company in a complex bid protest matter.
