Biography
Kenneth A. Porro joined Chasan Leyner & Lamparello in May 2015. Ken has over twenty-eight years of litigation and land use experience practicing throughout the State of New Jersey. Ken serves as counsel to local land use boards and governmental entities on development applications and in related litigation matters.
Ken’s writings further reflect his established knowledge in land use and valuation disputes. He is the author of “Redevelopment through Condemnation,” “The Effect of Government Restrictions on Valuation of Property,” and “Defending Contempt Penalties Under the Clean Water Act.”
Ken is General Corporate Counsel to the Meadowlands Municipal Mayors Committee; Meadowlands Construction Officials Association; Industrial Steel Structures, LLC; Lyndhurst Little League Inc. and Indian Hills Boys Soccer Boosters Assoc. Ken has previously served as general counsel to the Lyndhurst Board of Education and he is currently the Wyckoff Township elected representative to the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School Board of Education.
Ken is a graduate of Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland and University of Baltimore School of Law. Ken is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Inns of Court Foundation. Ken has received the honor of being recognized as a “New Jersey Super Lawyer” by New Jersey Magazine in 2005-2007, 2009-2013, 2015 and 2016. He is also a past Condemnation Commissioner and lecturer for the New Jersey State Bar Association on Adverse Possession and Municipal Tax Appeals and other local government/land use topics.
