I am an associate in the Intellectual Property Group of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC.  I counsel clients in a wide range of trademark and copyright matters. My experience includes successfully guiding trademark applications from initial search to registration, as well as the preparation and submission of office action responses, maintenance and intent to use filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). I also conduct trademark clearance searches and prepare and file international trademark applications. In addition, I counsel clients regarding trademark and copyright litigation and infringement issues and represent clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York in intellectual property disputes. I draft and negotiate settlement and consent agreements in connection with the resolution of intellectual property disputes and draft and negotiate various corporate and intellectual property agreements, including publishing agreements, website terms of use, website privacy policies, license agreements, franchise agreements and work-for-hire agreements.
