Miguel J Delgado

Miguel J. Delgado, Esq., founding member of Delgado Law LLC, has been practicing for over a decade before the Superior Court of New Jersey and municipal courts throughout the state. A long-time resident of Hudson County, Mr. Delgado began his career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable John A. Jorgensen of the Superior Court of New Jersey, where he drafted judicial opinions regarding a wide array of legal matters, including marital and estate issues. During his time as a judicial clerk, Mr. Delgado was certified as a court-appointed mediator and was responsible for resolving various types of litigation, including landlord-tenant and real estate matters, prior to trial.

Mr. Delgado served as a public defender in Essex County for over eight years. He has handled hundreds of complex criminal cases from initial complaint, to motion practice, plea negotiations, and trial, including all crimes of violence, drug crimes, theft and fraud offenses, domestic violence matters, and weapons offenses. A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Delgado has a long track record as a zealous advocate for his clients' rights. As his career progressed, Mr. Delgado expanded his knowledge of real estate and business practices in his role as a Senior Claims Specialist for Chubb Ltd., where he was charged with facilitating the resolution of disputes involving contracts, real estate transactions, and business litigation.

Following his time at Chubb, and prior to founding Delgado Law LLC, Mr. Delgado was selected for a prestigious fellowship with Rutgers Law School where he assisted low-income clients throughout the state with numerous civil litigation issues. Mr. Delgado also volunteers as a pro bono attorney for Volunteer Lawyers for Justice where he has gained experience in real estate and government benefit matters.
