Keith Edward Gilman

I have practiced in intellectual property law - previsouly known as patents, copyrights and trademarks since mid-1985, and i have been with Lerner Daivd since 1987.  I have been the ad hoc and then in title the managing partner for nearly 25 years.  I have practiced in every area of intellectual property law and the understanding of all areas aids not only in advsing clients but in running the operational side of the business.  After procuring and litigating patents and trademarks at high levels, and years of transactional support, I spearheaded our diligence and opinion pracice to advise clients on risk in bringing products to the market as well as in connection with M&A  transactions. Working with my Lerner David team, we investigate and evaluate the socpe of the risks and work wtih our client to manage that risk.  This may incude redesign efforts, securing licenses or providing opinions to provide business guidance in moving forward as well as inslutate clients from assertions of wilfulness (which could result in treble damages). 

Outside of work, it is all about family, friends, community service and golf.
