Marlene has worked with my company as outsourced counsel for the past 3 years. We are a food manufacturing company and have had to deal with many different arenas that required her attention. Example 1: We were dealing with an HR issue. Marlene was able to resolve this issue through mediation and... was able to prove there was no case to push through without spending many hours on the case. Example 2: Contract disputes. She was able on multiple occasions to get a resolution that was favorable on our part. She has access to many boilerplates (employment agreements, NDAs, MNDAs, Contracts, Proposal/R&D templates) that are needed and required for the food industry. Having this setup ahead of time was able to minimize these issues when they did arise. Example 3 The most recent was our company's acquisition. We were acquired by another manufacturer on the west coast and was able to run point and get a favorable deal for us that also worked for the other party involved. Most importantly through the years she became imbedded within our business. You would of never known she was not a full time general counsel. She is worth her weight in gold especially if you are in the food business.
