Ellyn Joy Polishook-Ulfsson

Ms. Polishook-Ulfsson was referred to me by a very close family friend during a time of extreme emotional distress and life upheaval. I never would of thought that she would become anything more than an advocate for me and my daughter. In the end, though, Ms. Polishook-Ulfsson became my instructor, m...y confidant, and my own personal barracuda. Her experience in the DOE process is thorough and precise. She was tenacious when it came to tracking down the people or information that was needed. She was relentless when researching the appropriate placement for my child. She gave me the information I needed so I could understand how the review and placement process worked so I could be my own best advocate. She was fearless as an advocate for my child and cared deeply that my child was placed in the most appropriate school. She went so far as to visit schools with me and my daughter to help evaluate the suitability of the schools. Her decades of experience and professional expertise ensured my daughter is in the best possible school, and I could not be more grateful for the confidence she instilled in me that my daughter would be taken care of.
