About David
Biography
I am a partner in the law firm of Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin, L.L.C., located in Westport, Connecticut. I have dedicated my 30-year career to assisting clients in complicated custodial and financial arising in divorce, including contested custody, relocation, alimony, support and asset distribution matters. I have represented clients in divorce matters with assets as diverse as international commodities holdings, global retailing, oil and gas private equity and electrical redistribution and reselling.
I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. I serve as Vice-Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Family Law Section, am a long-standing a member of its Executive Committee and additionally serve as Co-Chair of the State of Connecticut Child Support Guidelines Commission. I have been recognized by both Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. I enjoy lecturing and writing on a variety of custody and financial topics. I also am a contributor to a family law publication in Connecticut entitled, “A Practical Guide to Divorce on Connecticut” and most recently, I published an article on earning capacity and imputing income for support purposes in the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Volume 26, No. 2 (2014).
