Jason A Buchsbaum

JASON A. BUCHSBAUM is a principal in Cohen and Wolf's Litigation and Municipal Law Groups. Mr. Buchsbaum divides his time between the firm's Danbury and Bridgeport offices.

Mr. Buchsbaum represents individual, corporate and municipal clients in a wide range of litigation matters including complex commercial disputes, business litigation, construction disputes, real property and title disputes, tax appeals, and municipal enforcement proceedings. He also regularly advises municipal and private clients with respect to local property tax and exemption issues, and advises municipalities on a variety of local governmental matters. Mr. Buchsbaum serves as Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Weston.

Mr. Buchsbaum has represented clients in Connecticut's State and Federal Courts as well as before various municipal and statewide agencies and commissions. In addition, he has represented clients in arbitration proceedings and in mediation.

Mr. Buchsbaum is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the American, Connecticut, Greater Bridgeport, Danbury, and New York Bar Associations.

In 2013, Mr. Buchsbaum received a prestigious New Leaders of the Law Award. Sponsored by the Connecticut Law Tribune, the awards program honors Connecticut lawyers who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and dedication within their profession and communities. He is also honored with an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest such peer review rating available to any individual lawyer. Mr. Buchsbaum is also named a "Rising Star" by Connecticut Super Lawyers. He is a member and serves as Vice-Chairman of Southbury's Republican Town Committee and previously served on the Seymour Board of Education. Mr. Buchsbaum is also a member of the Tribury Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed to the Southbury Charter Revision Commission, and serves as its Vice-Chairman.

Mr. Buchsbaum received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2002 from the George Washington University and his J.D. with high honors in 2005 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
