Paul Shea initially handled a conflict over the rights to the proceeds of trust fund. After writing the executor of the trust, he received what he was told was the "operative paragraph in the trust agreement which gave the appearance that we had no rights to receive proceeds from the trust. The parag...raph was given no context and was sent by people who had a vested interest in not distributing proceeds of the trust, yet Paul accepted it as the final word in the matter. I took it upon myself to go down and personally request the entire trust agreement, about thirty pages long, and after reading it, realized that we absolutely did have a right to these funds. Paul refused to see it our way, and so I took the matter to another lawyer. Cut to the chase, the other side capitulated almost immediately and we won the case. Paul then proceeded to bill me 10,000.00 for this issue as well as the handling of other estate matters on which he had spent a grand total of perhaps eight hours.
