Matthew Samuel Blumenthal

Matt, a fervent advocate driven by justice and empathy, excels in litigation and trial across his practice areas. He was instrumental in the landmark case Lafferty v. Jones, achieving a $1.4 billion verdict against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on behalf of Sandy Hook families. Matt's pro bono work includes a Fellowship at Yale Law School's Rule of Law Clinic, where he guided litigation involving national security and anti-discrimination, contributing to briefs for the U.S. Supreme Court. A proud Yale Law School alumnus, Matt clerked for Chief Judge Diane P. Wood on the Seventh Circuit. Elected as State Representative for Connecticut's 147th District in 2018, he chairs the Government Administration and Elections Committee and co-leads the Reproductive Rights Caucus.
