Her commitment to serving vulnerable communities was further strengthened through her work with the Victim Rights Center of Connecticut, where she assisted clients with both VAWA petitions and U Visas, as well as through her internships with the Federal Public Defender's Office and Quinnipiac University School of Law's Prosecution Appellate Clinic.
Kayla earned her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2022. During law school, she served as a Law Review Note Editor and was actively involved in the Women's Law Society, the Society for Dispute Resolution, and Phi Alpha Delta. She received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology from the University of New Haven in 2019.
