Daniel Lyons is a principal attorney in the law firm of Attorney Dan Lyons & Associates in West Haven, Connecticut. He regularly covers cases in the Connecticut Superior Courts in Bridgeport, Milford, Derby, New Haven, Meriden, and Middletown. As a former Prosecutor in both Part A and Part B of the Connecticut Superior Courts, he knows the criminal justice system very well and knows how to navigate a case through the system to a reasonable and successful conclusion. His clientele face a wide variety of offenses ranging from homicides, robberies, sexual assaults, and weapons charges to driving under the influence, domestic violence, larceny, and juvenile court charges.

Attorney Lyons has considerable experience and ability as a civil litigator, representing injured people who bring claims for monetary damages against other people whose negligence caused the injuries. If Dan's clients are injured by uninsured drivers, he has successfully brought claims against his clients' own auto insurance policies, which, contrary to popular misconception, does not result in an increase in the client's auto insurance premium

These injury claims for monetary damages arise out of a wide variety of mishaps, including accidents involving autos, trucks, and motorcycles; medical malpractice; slip and fall accidents; pedestrian accidents; and some work-related accidents.

The nature of the injuries Dan handles range from wrongful death, spinal cord injuries that have life altering consequences, post traumatic stress disorder, TMJ Syndrome, permanent disfigurement and scarring injuries, and soft-tissue injuries involving the neck and back.

Personal

Dan Lyons is a native of West Haven, and currently resides there with his wife and family. Dan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Connecticut, and earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he graduated Cum Laude.

He feels strongly about giving back to his community and has focused his community involvement in activities where he believes he can make meaningful contributions. For example, Dan is one of the founders and a past President of the West Haven Bar Association, as well as past President of both West Haven Youth Hockey and the West Haven Child Development Center. For several years, Dan served as one of the coaches of the Mock Trial Team at West Haven High School , and he takes pride in the fact that his "Westies" won four State of Connecticut Mock Trial Championships against formidable competition.

When he is able to carve out some leisure time from the demands of a busy law practice, Dan loves to golf, spend time on the beach with his family and friends, and surf cast for bluefish and striped bass.
