Lee Marlow

Attorney Marlow was always readily available and on top of what is going on in the case. He thoroughly answered any questions I had and put it in terms I can easily understand. Throughout the process, he was very fair and always had my back. His experience in divorce procedures was phenomenal and... he was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone who is unfortunately going through the divorce process, especially if their are children involved.

My divorce was a long very expensive venture that taught me a lot that hopefully someone else can benefit from. When we first started down that road to divorce, I thought that my EX and I could get along and mutually negotiate the deal through a mediator. We paid the mediator about $4k, but in the ...end they messed up all the paperwork with the court and we were further behind than when we started. I had given my Ex all our savings during those mediations and without council, I moved out of the house and was living in my vehicle trying to keep myself our of debt.. My EX in the meantime was racking up the credit cards and took all our savings and got an 'expensive' attorney, while I got an attorney (for about $4k) who I thought could finish off the last paperwork and we would be done.. Big mistake on my part, I showed up at the first court date with little to no preparation or counsel from my attorney. That first court date, my financial affidavit (which my attorney completed at 3am the night before) showed very little expense and only income, therefore the court awarded ALL the money I was bringing home to my EX leaving nothing remaining for me. I was truly homeless and with all my money going to my EX. This first cheap attorney pressured me to sign those documents with the understanding that it would only be for a couple months until it was straightened out.. Several months later going deeper and deeper into debt, COVID hit and the court stopped seeing anyone. In that time I interviewed several attorneys and knew whatever I spent would be a good investment based on how quickly I was being buried financially. From my research on AVVO.com, and the follow up interviews, Lee Marlow was clearly THE BEST. Lee had me take some ownership by counseling me as I completed my own Financial Affidavit. Lee was very professional and knows everything to best represent his client. My advise to you is please don't do what I did originally and think you're saving any money by just getting it done. It cost me much more in the end, but I'm so glad I found Lee. He got me out of the mess with his tremendous knowledge and outstanding skills in negotiations. I hope to never have to do this sort of thing again, but if I did, and I was in Connecticut, I hope Lee is still practicing, because he is THE ONE. Lee got me FREE!

I was able to engage Lee Marlow as my divorce attorney and it was, and continues to be, one of the best decisions I've ever made. A divorce is a horrible experience for everyone involved and mine was no exception. I had originally decided to represent myself but soon discovered that was a mista...ke. As a man, and the main bread winner in the family, I quickly realized that the courts and family services (Child Custody) are geared towards protecting the interests of women, or perhaps more specifically, the spouse with the weaker financial situation. When people go down the road of divorce, they seriously have no idea what they're getting themselves into. I hired Lee as my attorney and he was able to guide me through the process with expertise & professionalism. My divorce actually went all the way to trial which included a child custody dispute. We had to take it to a trial because I could not agree to the outrageous demands of my ex-wife, which would have severely limited my time with our daughter and would have put me in a very difficult financial situation. Lee was professional and I was proud to go into a court room with him as my representative. That may not seem like much, but when your divorce gets ugly, it means a whole lot. Court rooms appreciate people like Lee because he knows what he's doing and he doesn't bring the ugliness of divorce into a court room. There are plenty of (scumbag) attorneys out there, willing to stoop to dishonest levels, causing all types of controversy and confusing the issues at hand. Lee's professionalism stands above that garbage which allows his clients to be seen in a positive light. In my opinion, Lee performed his best services in the last 5 minutes of the trial in his closing arguments to the judge. He was able to clearly summarize my position with a professional upstanding approach. He was also able to clearly summarize the malicious intent of my ex-wife that was designed to inflict long-lasting pain on me, which would in turn, hurt our daughter as well. The end result was better than either Lee or myself could have expected. When the judge read the verdict, and added his own personal comments, it became very clear that Lee's professionalism and upstanding demeanor in the court room carried much more weight than the negative, dishonest approach, that was used by the opposing attorney and my ex-wife. I walked out of that court room with opportunity and a future for both me and my daughter. Years later I'm still smiling and have been able to move on with my life.
