Sneha Jayaraj

Sneha Jayaraj is a New York and Connecticut‑licensed civil rights attorney whose practice centers on housing justice, immigrant protection, employment discrimination, and the dignity of low‑income communities. She earned her Juris Doctor from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law and holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from the University of Connecticut.

Sneha is the Founder and Attorney of Law of Love, PLLC, a community‑rooted practice based in Forest Hills, Queens, that offers culturally sensitive, multilingual, trauma‑informed legal support. Through Law of Love, she works with immigrant families, tenants facing harassment and unsafe conditions, youth and students experiencing discrimination, and elders navigating benefits, medical debt, and estate planning. Her work includes representing tenants in Housing Court HP and harassment cases, pursuing workplace justice and discrimination complaints under strong New York and city human rights laws, and advocating for immigration relief for survivors of abuse, trafficking, and violence.

Guided by a commitment to “know your rights” education, Sneha regularly partners with grassroots organizations, faith communities, and neighborhood groups to lead accessible workshops on housing, labor, immigration, and youth rights. She designs her services so that clients can bring their full selves, including their culture, language, and spirituality, into the legal process.

Sneha also brings experience from impact‑oriented litigation and public defense to her current work. She has represented survivors of childhood sexual abuse in complex civil cases, fought evictions and landlord harassment in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, and contributed to criminal justice reform efforts by preparing sentence modification and commutation applications and supporting civil rights lawsuits against correctional agencies. Earlier in her career, she supported LGBTQ+ and HIV‑positive immigrants in detention and served as a public defender fellow, experiences that shaped her holistic, client‑centered approach to lawyering.
