Eric J Stockman

Eric Stockman specializes in the litigation of complex medical, commercial and personal injury cases.  From the claims stage through trial, he navigates his clients to successful resolution in controversies of all sizes. He has particular expertise in big-damages personal injury claims, and is often called upon to represent hospitals, doctors and local practice groups in birth injury and wrongful death claims.

In the unlikely event that a case does not resolve to his client’s satisfaction prior to trial, Attorney Stockman is one of the premier trial attorneys in the state. He has tried more than three dozen trials to successful conclusion, including some of the largest and most publicized cases in Connecticut history.

Attorney Stockman has had similar success in his appellate work. He has briefed and/or argued cases before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Attorney Stockman has also written the testimony given on behalf of various hospitals and insurance companies including Stamford Hospital, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Hospital of St. Raphael, and the Connecticut Medical Insurance Company during hearings before the Connecticut Legislature regarding tort reform.
