Counseling Nonprofit Organizations and Their Advisors
Barbara B. Lindsay represents all types of tax-exempt organizations, as well as boards of directors, trustees, and other advisors. She provides counsel as to organizational and operational matters. For example, Barbara advises clients as to tax exemption, structuring and affiliation strategies, mergers and consolidations, grant making, foreign operations, tax issues and controversies, regulatory investigations, charitable giving and fundraising, advocacy, contracts, leases, employment contracts, intermediate sanctions, board disputes, fiduciary duty, conflicts of interest, liability concerns, and certain issues relating to section 501(c)(3) bonds.
