David Bremner Benoit

David has over fourteen years of experience advising large, mid-sized and early-stage companies on matters involving intellectual property including trademarks, copyrights patents and trade secrets, technology and software licensing, business formation, e-commerce and Internet-related legal issues and compliance.

Having deep experience in technology licensing and IP matters, David is often retained by his corporate clients to supplement their legal departments on an “in-house/outside counsel” basis.  Known by his clients for his ability to solve problems effectively and fuse creative thinking with practical business experience, some of the most respected and successful companies have also relied on David to help them optimize their overall technology licensing strategies, including the drafting of entire libraries of form agreements for use throughout their respective enterprises.

David has been awarded the “AV Preeminent Rating” by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings, been selected as an outstanding attorney in Connecticut and New England by Superlawyers, and has been recognized as a "Top Rated Attorney" in the area of Technology and Intellectual Property Law in both The American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel magazines.
