I have considered filing legal charges against the firm

This has been brewing in me for the past two years, and I finally felt that I had to let honest people know my incredibly disappointing experience with this law firm, and with Atty Prue to be specific. I and my mother approached Atty Prue with a complicated and delicate matter that had to do with wil...ls, trusts, and estates. Atty Prue spoke a glib game, promised he would provide all the documentation, and assured us that our assets would be protected. For that, he charged more than three times what other attorneys were charging, an eye-popping five-figure sum. But we were in a bind, and he knew it. When we received the documentation, it was clear that paralegals had used boiler-plate language that was misspelled, with crucial information (like who was the guarantor, who was inheriting the house, and where the money was going) incorrectly filled in. Both my mother and I called and emailed the office multiple times without help. Alarmed, we hired the services of other attorneys, at an even greater expense, and to a man/woman, those attorneys were appalled at the state of our wills and trusts that Atty Prue had drafted. As an example, the trust was written as nonrevocable, and in my 80 y/o stepfather's name. If he were to die, all of my assets would have been stuck in the trust with no way to access the funds. We brought this and many other significant concerns to Atty Prue's firm, and we were given a song-and-dance that did not hold up to even cursory logical reasoning. My mother and I both have advanced degrees. In the end, we had to throw all the money down the drain because the trusts had to be dissolved, or we would have been in even greater risk. i have frequently considered filing legal charges against the firm, but I have not had the emotional bandwidth because of too many other challenges in my life. That is not to say that I do not hold a significant amount of resentment towards the firm and feel that my family has been fleeced. I still have a dozen emails saved to substantiate my claim, should I choose to go that route.
