Rob Schatz is a founding partner of ESOP Plus®: Schatz Brown Glassman LLP, a boutique ESOP law firm in the U.S. located in Hartford, CT, Rochester, NY and Columbus, Ohio, and winner of the Acquisition International (AI) 2015 Merger & Acquisition award as the, “Best Boutique ESOP Law Firm in the U.S.”  Rob has been practicing corporate and finance law for more than 38 years and, since 1984, has concentrated his practice in structuring and documenting (i) corporate acquisitions and divestitures involving ESOP owned companies, their ESOPs, other qualified and non-qualified equity compensation and synthetic equity plans, (ii) structuring financing transactions for corporations, their management and employees and (iii) advising selling shareholders, fiduciaries, as well as corporate officers, lenders and investors with respect to ESOP transactions generally.  Mr. Schatz also works extensively with Boards of Directors, management, stockholders and ERISA fiduciaries on preparing or responding to tender offers, other general corporate finance matters, corporate responsibility and corporate (and ERISA) fiduciary matters.
