5 star lawyer

I hired Trent to represent me as my criminal defense attorney and he was there every step of the way with great communication and hard work on the case. He helped me fight this case for 3+ years and it resolved in my favor. I would recommend him to anyone that needs help fighting a criminal case, he ...actually cares for the best outcome in your favor and make you feel comfortable with knowing he is doing his best work.

Superbly Knowledgeable

First, Attorney Trent LaLima's calmly confident demeanor and keen listening skills shortly thereafter accompanied by his significant experience-based knowledge gained through great diligent I say, immediately "put me at ease." (I consequently knew I was going to be--as was proven--well guided through... the process and achieve a fine outcome.) Second, Attorney LaLima responded quickly and in full to my concerns always whether in-person or electronically or via the telephone. Furthermore, he kindly and with great respect towards me and my circumstance, re-directed my queries so as to create a focus that alleviated my anxiety knowing he was stupendously trustworthy. Third, Mr. LaLima patiently, concisely and clearly, expressed optimum strategies and methods directly resulting in my comprehending the micro and macro aspects of my situation while stating that the decisions to make were mine even though his manner of suggesting routes were obviously the best roads to take. Fourth, Trent developed and encouraged an informal yet forever professional rapport with me that served to instill within me an ever-greater confidence in his know-how and capabilities and abilities that subsequently allowed me to relax knowing he was captaining the ship extraordinarily well! Six, Attorney LaLima's values and morals are "on his shirt sleeve" as revealed by his being a loving husband and father, a loving family man.

An Ace Attorney

In April of 2020 my wife and I found ourselves in a situation we’d never thought we would be in. We were devastated by what had transpired, embarrassed, and worse yet, the court system dragged our case out for 18 months because of a backlog from the pandemic. Trent was the consummate professional t...hroughout. He understood my wishes to protect not just myself but my wife from the court system and that we wanted discretion. He advised me on how to put my best foot forward with the Family Services, he was present on every call, following up with them when the court system and public services dropped the ball. I’m really pleased that on the day of our plea hearing, we fortunately did not have to step foot into that courtroom. Trent held a sidebar with the powers that be, which I could only assume is a state prosecutor and the judge, and convinced them to abandon the charges (nolle prosequi). It was also reaffirming to me that Trent is well known and highly regarded amongst his peers and the court. I observed this on several occasions on court appointments and so it’s fair to say that that our favorable outcome wasn’t the result so much of serendipity as it was more likely due to his legal adeptness and acuity, and his professional reputation. Thank you Trent.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
