Jonathan A. Kocienda

Jonathan ‘Jak’ Kocienda has been litigating and trying medical malpractice cases for the past 23 of his 27-year legal career in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He is currently manager and lead trial attorney of the Medical Malpractice Division of Claggett, Sykes & Garza, LLC, representing adults and child patients seriously and catastrophically injured by medical negligence.

Jak previously made a name for himself as one of the leading medical malpractice attorneys in the state as a co-managing partner and trial attorney in a prestigious medical malpractice defense firm where he represented the interests of Connecticut’s health care providers and institutions. Since then he has brought his extensive knowledge and experience in medical malpractice to his representation of many of Connecticut’s profoundly injured patients.

Jak is dedicated to his work and pursuing justice for his clients who were wrongfully injured due to medical negligence. Jak has traveled extensively to lecture on significant issues involving medical malpractice liability and exposure to medical professionals.
