Julie Ann Harris

My practice focuses on civil litigation, especially defense of insured policyholders and carriers. I have successfully tried more than 30 cases to verdict before Connecticut juries and has resolved countless others in and out of the courtroom through bench trials, private arbitration and mediation. I have defended individuals, insurers, businesses and public entities in claims covering a wide spectrum of tort exposure from auto and premises liability to claims asserting liability for defective products, liquor liability, and professional liability. I have successfully handled appeals to Connecticut's highest court on issues ranging from the authority of boards of education to enter into contracts to the liability of travel tour operators for injuries occurring overseas.
