A lawyer is essentially a mechanic who works with a pen instead of a ball peen hammer!

updated on 07/30/2018A reprimand is an order from the Statewide Grievance Committee after it has found that an attorney has engaged in ethical misconduct. If an attorney receives more than 3 reprimands in 5 years, a presentment must be filed against the attorney so the Superior Court can decide if more serious discipline should be ordered.
Dale’s comment:
“This matter was part of a complex commercial litigation. As my client’s advocate, I was zealous, aggressive and vociferous in my oral rebuttal presentation to the court because I had an ethical duty to bring to the attention of the court that facts were being presented were not correct. The opposing attorney (who is a member of the Statewide Grievance Committee) filed a grievance against me due to my comments. I apologized in writing to the opposing attorney for the miscommunication.”
