Peter Osborn

Peter advises entrepreneurs, startups, venture-backed companies and venture capital investors on a wide range of corporate legal issues. Serving in the role of general outside counsel to operating companies from a wide range of industries, Peter helps his clients navigate the legal complexities of entity formation, corporate governance, securities law compliance, equity compensation, the protection of intellectual property and employment matters. In 2017, Peter was recognized for his dedication and expertise as the winner of the Client Choice Award for general corporate work in Massachusetts.

As counsel to both issuers and investors in venture capital transactions, Peter provides practical advice informed by deep experience, having advised clients in hundreds of transactions in which billions of dollars have been invested. Peter also serves as both buy-side and sell-side counsel in small- and mid-market merger and acquisition transactions.

Peter is a frequent guest lecturer at universities on the topics of startup companies and venture capital transactions and a frequent contributor to business plan competitions and other events in the startup community.

Prior to joining The Moulton Law Group, Peter was a member of the nationally recognized Emerging Company and Venture Capital Practice of WilmerHale.
