Dennis Lee Morgan

Dennis L. Morgan is a director at Cooper Cargill Chant in the Criminal Defense, Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation and Business practice groups. As an experienced first chair trial lawyer, he has represented individuals, businesses, associations in civil, criminal, and administrative trials and hearings in New Hampshire, Maine and Ohio state and federal courts.

Because of his trial abilities, clients have retained Dennis to handle a wide variety of civil matters, including those involving real estate and construction litigation, breach of contract actions, business disputes, collections matters and other civil actions.

Dennis also has extensive first-chair trial experience defending individuals facing significant criminal exposure from alleged violations of state law. His criminal practice consists of a significant DWI practice, drug offenses, domestic violence, property crimes, violent offenses and related administrative proceedings.

Additionally, Dennis oversees the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy practice at Cooper Cargill Chant. For over ten years he has been helping individuals, partnerships, and businesses deal with difficult financial times to assist them in getting a fresh start. Since 2000, we have helped hundreds of clients through the bankruptcy process.

Prior to joining Cooper Cargill Chant in 2001, Dennis served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, investigating and prosecuting a wide variety of felony cases, including white collar, narcotics and violent crime. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Dennis first chaired dozens of trials. Dennis also received two commendations from the FBI for his service while a prosecutor.
