Choose a Different Law Firm

Ladies and gentlemen, I invite you to comprehensively evaluate this review carefully and methodically because what happened to me could very well happen to you. Let this review make pivotal decisions into yes or no with engaging in legal services from Mr. Michael Fisher ESQ. I went to Mr. Fisher’s o...ffice Fisher Law Offices PLLC at the lowest point a person can be in their life. Complete and utter financial ruins and continued financial insecurities. This is a very vulnerable place to be, and I think marks the pretense of how individuals like Mr. Fisher prey on the weak. Let the record reflect that I attempted to protect my best interests by searching around for an attorney that would represent me zealously. So that people understand, clearly I found Mr. Fisher on my own for that no other Attorney or Southern Vermont Trustee voiced a recommendation for him. This should’ve been the initial red flag, but nevertheless, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I proceeded with Mr. Fisher’s legal advice and representation predicated on the fact that I needed to save my home and property from foreclosure. A lawyer has the moral and ethical obligation to represent an individual zealously and professionally align with standards and laws that support, define, and allow them to be licensed. I became a victim expeditiously. Mr. Fisher advised me of information that was false. An outright lie! He indicated to me that the type of debt that I was looking to discharge was dischargeable/purgeable. After further review and even worsening my financial situation, it came out that what Mr. Fisher advised me legally was so against the legal standards it was complete and utter bamboozlement. During his representation he presented spelling errors, grammar errors, filing errors as well as bizarre and concerning spouts of memory loss. For example, on some of the filings to the federal court Mr. Fisher illustrated I filed a chapter 11 or 13 bankruptcy. In which we filed for chapter 7. Additionally, every modern word document program on the face of this planet has some type of spell check and grammar modification. I would need to proofread every document because there were simple spelling errors or grammar errors. Then when I indicated I would see him at the next court proceedings, he proceeded to give me directions and tell me the course of actions to obtain entrance into the hearing. I indicated to him we had already been at a hearing months before and he was completely oblivious and dumbfounded as if literally he had no clue, we were in court together once before. On a final note, as this foreclosure has progressed to the inevitable, Mr. Fisher’s legal advice was “… you can leave the property in a body bag”. I am now faced with filing suit against Mr. Fisher (CASE # TO FOLLOW). I will update this review once those proceedings begin because he is refusing to release my file and client protected information that was paid for and is property of the client. Folks we live in a society where this type of evil, narcissism, and scams are preventable. I am available 24/7/365 to answer any questions relating to the protection of folks like yourself reading this review and why it is imperative you DO NOT engage in contractual services or business with Mr. Michael Fisher ESQ.

A truly SUPERB attorney, advocate & guide through hard stuff !!!

I called Michael last year at a time of huge despair & anxiety for me & my wife. We were so far in debt, after years of multiple cancers plus other medical disasters & overall busted careers, that homelessness seemed a likely outcome. It seemed that even the smallest hopes which we had clung to ...in life had been wrecked. We were broken in body, mind, heart & spirit. We struggled to scrape together co-pays for my wife's most vitally necessary prescriptions. Creditors were calling all day long. Our marriage was ripping apart under the strain. As he himself said, the elements of Michael’s work with us were, in a certain sense, basic, but the combination added up impressively indeed. Michael insists that he is no miracle worker, but IMHO he is about the closest thing that the real world can offer on any given workday! First, he LISTENS with great care & attentiveness. His manner is wonderfully calm & kind-hearted. I cannot overstate how much of a difference his patient way of listening made from the very beginning, as we struggled to unpack for him our long, tangled & conflict-laden explanation of the mess that we were in. My manner & voice were heavy with fear, & more than a little anger, born of feelings of helpless desperation. My wife & I were in deep disagreement about how to proceed, including whether to file bankruptcy, & regarding what further losses we could each tolerate in pursuit of a possible remedy. Because Michael’s manner is unmistakably genuine, warm-hearted & good-humored, while being at the same time practical, sensible & efficient, he gently but effectively helped us to recover that kind of constructive, cooperative attitude ourselves, so that we soon became a team of three people working well together on a mutually beneficial & positive set of goals. Second, Michael is an excellent TEACHER & COACH. Everything regarding consumer debt, interest rates, collections, bankruptcy, negotiated settlements, etc was all very opaque & bewildering to me & my wife. Getting miserable, stressed-out people like us to follow explanations & properly take in info is hard indeed. Michael not only KNOWS HIS STUFF but deftly guided us with true grace from a starting point of being freaked-out-&-frantic & into a state of being informed, aware, & increasingly confident about making intelligent step-by-step choices in consultation with him. (It is no surprise that Michael devotes much of his non-lawyering time as “Coach Fish”, a successful & much-admired teacher & coach of various local hockey programs for young people!) Third, he is a very hard-working & persuasive ADVOCATE. Once my wife & I were clear that we wanted to pursue negotiated settlements with our creditors instead of bankruptcy, Michael helped us to set realistic goals & criteria which would most closely fit our values & needs, & which seemed to make the best strategic use of our available assets. Then he did the hard work of grinding through days, weeks & months of communications with each of our creditors in order to seek out & deal directly with only the real decision-makers at each of the firms to whom we owed well into six figures, all told. It was clear to us that Michael is truly excellent at 1. the dogged pursuit of people who aren’t much motivated on their own to negotiate with us at all 2. presenting our case & pitching our offer in the most cogent, persuasive way possible 3. negotiating tirelessly to get the best deal for us, while keeping to the guiding values & priorities which we had worked out together beforehand. The results greatly exceeded all possible expectations, Michael was truly a pleasure to work with, & our life & marriage are in better shape than ever. The bottom-line trade-offs in terms of speed, cost & hopes for rebuilding our creditworthiness, have turned out to be truly the right choices for us. CALL MICHAEL !!! You'll be glad you did!

Many Many Thanks Michael !

My Husband and I have worked with Attorney Fisher pretty much throughout the last year in effort to retain our home and property. We would highly, highly recommend him for anyone seeking a bankruptcy attorney.

Great attorney!

Michael helped me to purchase an existing business, which required him to review the purchase/sale agreement and file all necessary state paperwork. Three years later he helped me negotiate the sale of my business to another store owner. He help was valuable and helped to ensure that I was fully c...overed under both agreements. The transactions never would have gone so smoothly without his help! Michael is committed to watching out for his clients, providing them with the help they need while being careful about cost.
