Amanda grew up in Kentucky, studied at the University of Louisville, and graduated from Cornell Law School. Amanda’s experiences, both personal and professional, help her bring a deeper level of understanding and passion to her work. When her father passed away after a painfully short battle with brain cancer she was thrust into a new and confusing world of probate administration. Her probate attorney guided her through that difficult time and helped her feel confident that she was honoring her father’s wishes. Now she values the opportunity to help clients plan for the future and give their loved ones the tools they need to move forward. Prior to working in trusts and estates, Amanda spent many years working as a criminal defense attorney where she helped vulnerable people navigate the legal system. She worked closely with judges, counselors, and law enforcement on the Hillsborough County Adult Drug Court to help individuals with significant substance use disorders rebuild their lives. She has a true appreciation of how the intersection of life’s stressors impacts families and the need to have an experienced and knowledgeable attorney to guide you in planning for your future. Amanda understands the impact of substance use and mental illness on families and brings this knowledge and compassion to her work in guardianships, estate planning, and complex litigation.
