Henry S. Monti

Henry S. Monti’s dedication to the practice of law, particularly as a trial lawyer, is evident in his extensive career. As a board-certified civil trial expert, he relishes the courtroom setting where he effectively advocates for his clients. His legal journey began as a public defender and progressed to a special assistant attorney general, where he tried a multitude of jury cases. These experiences were pivotal in shaping his trial expertise, emphasizing the importance of preparation and establishing jury rapport.

At Gemma Law Associates, Inc., Henry has spent over two decades defending personal injury victims, including those involved in vehicular and slip-and-fall accidents. While many cases conclude through mediation or arbitration, Henry ensures each case is thoroughly prepared for trial, enhancing negotiation outcomes.

Henry actively contributes to the legal community, serving as past president of the Rhode Island Association for Justice and earning their Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been part of the American Association for Justice's Board of Governors. Admitted to practice in Rhode Island and before the U.S. Supreme Court, Henry is also dedicated to community service, honored for his contributions to Narragansett 2100. Outside the courtroom, he finds solace in sailing.
