We needed to Probate my father's will. Little property, no dissension in the family. Of course or initial meeting went well. We met the attorney, she took our money. That is the last you hear from her. The motivator to do this was so that we could establish the value of the estate before it ga...ined value and set the lien by the nursing home. We agreed. 5 years later,. I am still waiting.. "We mailed the documents", Weeks later I get some random invoice instead. "Ok, we will email them since the originals are lost", a week later and no email. Can I get a detailing of our payments and charges? "I'll email". Nothing. The basic premise of the contract, to establish a value of the nursing home lien? "That isn't possible". So, unless you wish to spend money, for years, with zero result, take your money elsewhere.
