Chrissy was extremely helpful during the worst time of my life. I was in the middle of an extremely contentious custody battle and fighting Parental Alienation Tactics as well as being falsely accused of child abuse and neglect. Her understanding of the system and ability to advise based on her kno...wledge and experience was invaluable in saving money and time. But her willingness to really listen to what was going on for me and my family was way above and beyond what one would expect from an attorney. Her ability to craft agreements and negotiate on our behalf for what we wanted was stellar compared to other attorneys we had worked with, because she took the time to understand where we were coming from and actually cared about our situation. She is willing to go the extra mile for her clients and she understands the dynamics of Parental Alienation and the emotional toll is takes on the targeted parent--she is a compassionate fighter who was on my side during a horrible situation--being brutally honest about how the system works and what can be expected. She tells the truth and keeps realistic expectations. She truly was the only bright spot in the darkness of probate court. I only wish we had found her first...it would have saved us much money, angst, and time. After we finished with the whole probate court scene we had to contest the DCF findings of an extremely biased and ineffectual so called investigator. From what I understand this is almost an impossibility--We hired Chrissy as our attorney for the "Fair Hearing"--she was awesome! She came in completely prepared with a whole binder of "new information" and totally trumped our so called lame investigator. She brought in character witnesses and set the whole scene....again, it was an extremely emotional situation for me....but she helped me thru it calmly, compassionately and competently. In the end DCF did overturn their original findings and my name was cleared. I have heard that she has successfully done this with at least 3 other cases as well...which tells me two things--that she is an awesome attorney and that our DCF office down here on Cape Cod is suspect at best. I will use her again this year when I have to file for an amendment to the agreement and hopefully be done with my sons father for good...but I would recommend her to anyone who is feeling completely overwhelmed by the probate court system--she was a god send. In one sentence--Chrissy Knopf is an excellent attorney who will fight for you tooth and nail with class, compassion, caring and understanding.
