I work for Pawa Law Group, a small litigation firm specializing in large environmental cases and in medium-sized cases in Massachusetts courts.
The environmental cases include attempts to hold emitters and fossil fuel companies liable for climate change, drinking water contamination cases brought by state attorneys general (our clients), representation of large environmental organizations, and administrative appeals by citizens and municipalities of permits issued by state and federal officials. These cases have been brought in courts all over the country.
By contrast, the smaller cases in Massachusetts are primarily not environmental cases. These have included tort cases, contract cases, property disputes, arbitrations, and claims against insurance companies, brought by us on behalf of individuals and businesses. We aim to deliver big-firm quality (or better) at small-firm prices, to be candid and fair in all our dealings, and to take on practically any litigation dispute.
I previously worked for Cleary Gottlieb (a litigation firm in New York) and for the Boston office of the EPA. I have also clerked for judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Alaska Supreme Court and (as a volunteer foreign clerk) the Israeli Supreme Court.
