Seth Salinger

I recently needed legal representation in Massachusetts against a debtor who was not paying me delinquent patent license fees after my patents had expired. The debt amount was not large, but roughly twice the small claims limit. My local attorney (in CA) gave me two attorney references. I asked the... first one "Can you estimate what the legal costs would be to prosecute this case ..." and his response was not encouraging: "I can safely say it would far exceed the amount in controversy, and would be in excess of six figures." I talked to the other one, who said I might be able to get a judgment for as little as $4,000. Easy choice; I went with the second attorney -- Seth Salinger. After some twists and turns he resolved the case at a total cost of about $5000, which included getting a judgment, initiating planning on a reach-and-apply motion, and convincing the debtor to pay the full debt before we had to take further action. I was very satisfied with the outcome and with Seth's professionalism and skill, not to mention his attention to keeping costs within reason.
