James William Duffy

I retained attorney James William Duffy in June 2019 to help with a case and he assured me that he would take on my case. After excepting my case he stopped communicating with me I eventually got a hold of him and he sent me a draft of my claim which was basically the same chronology that I sent him... copied and paste onto another form. In addition he had the facts completely wrong and continue to charge me without my consent. After a couple months past I got a call from attorney James W Duffy stating that he will no longer work on my case as he was leaving his firm and that he doesn’t know what’s going to happen with my case going forward and that I will receive a bill for 5k. I wasted three months believing that this attorney was working on my case to file and he led me on believing that he would put his best foot forward when he had no intentions of seriously pursuing my case. He comes across friendly and knowledgeable but I would not recommend him to my worst enemy my case is time sensitive and I literally have lost 3 months!!! Very unethical person!
