Chapter 93A in the Mass General Laws protects Massachusetts citizens from consumer fraud and from unfair and deceptive acts in the course of business transactions with consumers. Mortgages, loans, contractors, used car deals all can be suspect when certain events occur. Consumer protection is an important part of my practice.

Coming from a background of having a chemistry degree with biology courses and having worked for about ten years in the chemistry lab arena, I have an unique perspective on clean air and clean water and environmental protection laws. I like to see businesses progress but in ways that do not damage our fragile environment. We have added solar power to our business model and it is working well. Of course there were legal issues as well as negotiations that had to occur this pursuit

Zoning issues arise for personal properties and often for business properties. Any changes in parking lots, parking areas, property use, often requires zoning law attention and many time variances. Drainage issues are very important. One property may add a parking area not realizing that a lower abutter now will have water draining into their property. Resolving these disputes is key to having happy abutters and responsible property use.
