I Regret the day I was told about this SO called Professional Attorney everyone’s reviews were spot on she had NO RESPECT to US the Client But INVOICES she was on top of! I LOST MY DAUGHTER in a Custody Battle with a Narcissist ABUSIVE Man ! After receiving $45,000 Plus in Atty Fees and hung the phon...e on me (Her Paying Client) Was rude and disrespectful and just withdrew because I LOST EVERYTHING over $250,000 My Retirement and Daughter ! Had she had been a Better Attorney and Defended me and was as Rude, Mean and Aggressive to Me HER Client with the Opposing Attorney Maybe she would have had a chance of being Successful. Do NOT be fooled of her Appearance ! And don’t bother she doesn’t CARE! You NEED AN Attorney that will FIGHT for you!

I don’t even know where to start, but retaining Janet M lydon was the worst experience in my life. Even worse than my divorce itself. She lied to me before I gave her the retainer. I found out she was screwing up my case, so I fired her on days 4. She only worked for me less than 5 hours, but she ove...r billed me the times she spend on my case. I asked some part of the retainer back and my case file. She refused to send me back some part of the retainer and have kept my entire retainer $3500 for herself. She is ignoring all my phone calls and emails. She also refused to send me back my case file. She has not done anything at the court for me and did not file the notice of her appearance at court. All she wants is to screw me out of my money. She is terrible, I need to file the complaint at the mass broad of bar oversees. Stay away from her law firm. She will get advantage of you when you are in the bad situation

I'm not quite sure about the other reviewer's experience may have been, however, I retained her and was very impressed with her knowledge and experience in probate lawyer. She actually pointed out area's of my financial disclosures that my CPA missed. As far as her presenting as uncomfortable in the ...court room, we experienced a very different presentation altogether. She refuses to get lowered into the theatrics of showmanship and focuses on the applicable points of law that in the end helped us prevail. Opposing counsel was a bit more animated, but the law is the law and that was what mattered. She also treated my x and her attorney with much respect. 2 years later, even my former partner speaks well of her. Side note, she's down to earth and has a great sense of humor and you can tell her the truth and doesn't seem to judge.

I would not recommend Janet to anyone. She handled my divorce and neglected to review financial reports, never gave me impotant detailed reports from opposing counsel. She appears to get extremely intimated from aggressive counsels. It's sad that if your divorce is high conflict SHE is NOT the attor...ney you should hire.
