I knew Brad as a client in a retail store I managed and when the company I worked for wrongfully terminated me in August of 2013, I put every bit of trust in his firm. We had a solid case of at least discrimination due to illness, if not wrongful termination. He led me to believe that I had a very winnable case. and we did. You must understand I was physically handicapped due to surgery at the time I was terminated. The details of my termination were cruel and inhumane. That is why Brad took the case to begin with. I met with him on a few occasions and he claimed to be working on my case. I do not understand what happened, but one day I attempted to call him to find out about the progress of my case and was put into his mail box where I left a message. I never spoke to him personally again. That was almost a year ago and with over 8 different attempts to contact him either via email, or by phone. How a professional can abandon a person without so much as even a phone call, or in this day and age an email or text, defies explanation. I felt devastated not only because of the financial loss of losing my job and not getting financial justice from my wrongful termination, but also the physical and emotional loss because the clock of justice against my former employer ran out because of Brad's lack of attention and total abandonment of my case and of me. Also my reputation with my peers was destroyed without opportunity to repair it with justice.
I have learned a valuable lesson from this and that is that there is incompetence in every occupation, be it plumber, or lawyer. Do not think that just because he has all kinds of certificates and degrees and gives you his word, that he can really fix a toilet...
