Gerald Malachy Coakley

Gerry Coakley brings over a decade of litigation experience in a wide variety of areas; most notably malpractice defense of healthcare professionals and representation of individuals with personal injury cases. Gerry has worked with elder care institutions and has experience counseling families on the many complex issues affecting the rights of the elderly. Gerry’s years of experience in the court system provide him a practical background to counsel clients on the best way to bring an issue to resolution quickly and cost effectively.

Prior to joining Pathway Law, Gerry was an attorney at Morrison Mahoney. Gerry has been lead counsel on numerous cases in the superior court, argued before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, and secured favorable verdicts in multi-million dollar cases.  He is also an experienced entrepreneur and has worked extensively in every aspect of the food industry.

As a result of Gerry’s unique combination of business and litigation experience, he is expertly positioned to address a wide array of complex issues related to small businesses development and represent clients in all aspects of litigation regarding trusts, estates, and other matters.

Gerry is a graduate of Colby College and Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in both Massachusetts and Illinois.  In his spare time, you’ll find Gerry cooking, entertaining friends and family, and enjoying time with his beautiful wife and two amazing young boys.
