A contractor was working on a roof when the local building inspector came upon the job and asked to see proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance. The contractor could not produce proof of insurance an ... d issue a stop work order, with fines of $300.00 per day until the contractor came to hearing and was in full compliance. The contractor was from out of state and it would have been expensive to travel to Boston. I met with a DIA investigator, had the fines cut to one third of original amount, settled the matter, and saved the contractor considerable fines and travel costs.

Police stopped and arrested client without reasonable suspicion nor probable cause. They searched client and allegedly seized a large quantity of a controlled supply stance. I filed a Motion to Sup ... press the unlawfully obtained evidence. The motion was allowed and all evidence seized was suppressed so that the Commonwealth was precluded from using it at trial. Realizing a trial on the matter was now futile as all incriminating evidence was suppressed, the Commonwealth dismissed the case and my client was released from detainment.
