Why people buy/sell real estate and either use the bank attorney or random attorney or don't use an attorney at all makes no sense to me. Hire your own attorney. They work for you and will protect your interests. It is such short money. That being said, get a good one. We are curre...ntly using Mike to assist us as we settle the real estate in an estate. He has been very helpful answering our questions as we go through this process. About three years ago Mike was the attorney on the sale of our old house and the purchase of the new house. He had been referred to us and it was a great referral. Very helpful and accessible. Every time we had a question or issue he got back to us with an answer. At the closing of our house, the other party had made a mistake on the closing documents which Mike caught. Rather than hold up the transaction, Mike quickly worked out a solution. Mike makes things easy to understand and is very practical.
