Samuel C. Sichko

Samuel Sichko has more than 25 years' experience practicing in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and probate and tax litigation. He specializes in representing high-net-worth individuals and families as counsel and as trustee. As a trustee, Sam oversees both public and private investments, including investments with various private equity funds, hedge funds, and other alternative investment entities. He also specializes in the formation and operation of tax-exempt organizations, and has represented clients before the United States Tax Court, the Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board, various courts throughout Massachusetts, and in administrative proceedings with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service.

Before joining the firm in 2005, Sam was a partner at Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye. Prior to that, he served as a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. His duties included serving as chief trial counsel for Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina; special assistant United States attorney for the State of South Carolina; deputy staff judge advocate for the 3rd Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan; and assistant professor of Law at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

In 2007, Worth Magazine named Sam to its list of the top 100 lawyers representing the estate-planning needs of high net worth individuals, recognizing his exceptional legal expertise, tact, discretion, and interpersonal skills. Each year, Worth Magazine honors attorneys specializing in trust and estates, philanthropy, elder care, matrimonial and other private practice areas.  He has been a frequent lecturer on tax and estate planning topics for attorneys, accountants, and other professionals.
