I began my affiliation with Attorney Deering back in 2015 when I first filed for divorce. Since that time and to this day she remains my atto...rney in all legal matters related to my family issues, but more importantly someone I rely upon and trust to not only counsel and advise me in family law but also to speak the honest truth if I need to hear it. There have been numerous difficult conversations about my behavior that I have needed to modify. Conversely, Rachel has helped me understand how to better cope and deal with the behavior of my ex-spouse. My divorce involved two wonderful daughters and an ex-wife petitioning for removal, not an easy case to prepare but one that had been littered with many, many potholes and thorny legal issues. The case went to trial for SEVEN days and not once during that process did Rachel falter. Moreover, there have been numerous trips back before a family court judge, which Rachel has represented me every time. I will not wade into the weeds with the messy details but suffice it to say that in the end the resolution and subsequent outcomes were fair and just and much of those decisions were due to the law work of Rachel. I can't say enough good things about Rachel. When I was first going through my divorce I was referred to another partner at Rachel's firm by a friend. He was good at his job but due to his heavy work load and lack of experience working with an alcoholic ex, he brought Rachel on to the team to help mo...ve the process along. Shortly after bringing Rachel on to the team, the partner left the firm and I was asked if I wanted to go with the partner to the new firm or stay and I asked to stay with the firm and also stay with Rachel. It was by far the best decision because Rachel has been exceptional with helping me finalize my divorce as well with any issues I've had with updating parental agreements. Rachel is incredibly easy to communicate with, she's responsive, mature, professional and, funny and I consider her more of a friend than my attorney.
