Adam J. Combies

Adam Joseph Combies co-founded Combies Hanson in 2010. Mr. Combies concentrates his practice on the areas of general, civil and commercial litigation, construction law, asbestos defense, medical marijuana compliance, and small business services. Mr. Combies was recognized as one of Massachusetts' "Rising Stars" in the field of civil litigation defense by the publishers of Law & Politics and Boston Magazine in 2009.

Mr. Combies has prior experience at two Boston law firms. There he concentrated his practice on defense and litigation of civil actions in state court and federal court, including municipal liability, products liability, premises liability and the defense of toxic tort and other long-term environmental exposure claims. Mr. Combies also has experience in the area of insurance coverage.

Prior to entering the private sector, Mr. Combies served a one-year term as law clerk for the Honorable Patricia A. Hurst of the Rhode Island Superior Court. A member of the Massachusetts Bar since 2007, and the Rhode Island Bar since 2006, Mr. Combies received his B.S. in Finance from Boston College and his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. At Syracuse, Mr. Combies was a Dean's Scholarship recipient and served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Law and Commerce.

Mr. Combies also is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
