Attorney Roth was recognized as a Rising Star in the field of Immigration Law by the "Super Lawyer" publication in the New York Times in 2016. While attending Suffolk University Law School, Attorney Roth was a member of the Immigration Law Clinical Program, where he represented indigent detained immigrants and challenged the post-removal detention of foreign nationals. In addition, Attorney Roth regularly visited detained immigrants at the Suffolk County House of Correction with the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project (PAIR) to assist with "Know Your Rights" presentations and to conduct intake interviews to evaluate potential relief from removal.
Attorney Roth received his B.A. from University of Colorado at Boulder and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Roth is licensed to practice law in both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and New York State and is admitted to the United States Circuit Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Federal Bar Association (FBA). Stephen is a Co-Chair of the AILA-New England New Member's Division, where he works to offer a variety of professional and social opportunities to build the immigration practice and careers of new AILA members. He is also Co-Chair of the AILA-New England Chapter's Annual "Celebrate America" Essay Contest, working with 5th grade students around the New England region to write essays on the theme "Why I Am Glad America is a Country of Immigrants.
