There are too many wonderful things to say about Jonathan Macedo. I hired him during a bad illness and needed him to fight for my benefits with my long term disability insurance, which first denied me. To start, I had some past poor experiences with lawyers and I told Jonathan right up front that h...e would have to earn my respect and my review. He did both wonderfully!!! He really understood my illness and my need for him being upfront and personal. He always responded quickly to any inquiries I had, and one example was I sent him an email late in the day on July 3rd and he called me, called me on July 4th. I had not expected him to respond until the day after the holiday, or possibly later, but he felt my inquiry needed his attention that day. His patience level is truly remarkable. There were many times I was frustrated with the process and I do believe I may have overly stated my frustration to him. He was patient and kind, explained everything to me and he was able to get me to calm down. He was able to get me my benefits with back pay, and kept me informed every step of the way. I had told Jonathan I would not write a review until my benefits had expired because I wanted to be able to say, from start to finish, he took care of me, and he did in so many wonderful ways. Not only was he great at doing his job, but more importantly, he has been able to retain his kindness and respect in a field not always known for either. Thank you Jonathan, and Oliver, your assistant, both of you deserve much more than these mere words. I will recommend you to anyone who asks or has the need for a wonderful and talented lawyer.

I was an RN and became disabled. My Long Term Disability company closed my case and denied me my long term disability benefits for the second time. I contacted Jonathon and he listened to my case, my concerns, and gave me the guidance I needed to fight to get my ERISA long term disability benefits ba...ck. He talked me thru each step and we built a great appeal. He called today to let me know that my benefits were reinstated. He will be by my side for several more years to fight with me, if needed again and to talk to if they decide to try to take them away again. My disability is with Vestibular issues/Vertigo and balance disorders. He knew the situation and had previously fought for his other clients for similar issues. I am not one inclined to overuse superlatives, but Jonathan Macedo is truly a master of his profession. Some time ago I was stricken with an adult-onset, degenerative neuro-muscular disease so rare that it took an inordinate amount of time to diagnose. My employer & their insurance providers used... this as a reason to deny my short and long-term disability benefit claims. It was, however, my good fortune to be referred to Mr. Macedo. When presented with the facts of my situation, he was willing to take on the case. Jonathan was ready to litigate but, thanks to his astounding intellect, legal knowledge base, dillegence, recall, communication and networking skills, he was able to resolve the situation completely in my favor. I am so glad that I contacted Jonathan when I did! I had surgery and I have been out of work for 3 months because of complications. I was having a very difficult, stressful and frustrating time navigating through the disability process. I had first been denied for short term disability because th...ey said that it should be a worker's compensation claim. Worker's comp then denied the claim. Disability then paid for 4 weeks but then denied the claim again. They said that my doctor didn't return a form to them in the allotted time. So, now I am in the disability appeal process. Jonathan is so patient, professional and detail oriented. He spent so much time explaining the process to me and making sure that I had all of my documentation in order.
