Thomas John Cavanagh

Attorney Thomas J. Cavanagh joined Kellem Baird Cavanagh, LLC as a partner in January of 2026. Prior to joining KBC, Tom was the principal attorney at Cavanagh Law Group, LLC in Quincy, MA, for 16 years.

Tom started his career, in the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office in 2003, as an administrator in the Juvenile Court Division, while attending Law School at night. Tom served as an Assistant District Attorney in the District Courts, where he tried numerous cases, argued motions, and was a member of the District Court Gang Unit and Drug Control Unit.

Since 2010, Tom has focused his practice in the area of residential real estate, representing buyers, sellers, and lenders in all areas of residential real estate transactions. Tom has extensive experience in purchase and sale agreement drafting and negotiation, as well as title review and handling closings. He is well-known in the real estate community as a thorough and client-focused attorney who also prides himself on attention to detail.
